Her notable manga works also include Maison Ikkoku, Ranma ½, Inuyasha, and Rin-ne. Takahashi has won the Shogakukan Manga Award in both 1980 and 2001. Her other works include Mermaid Saga, One-Pound Gospel, and Rumic Theater. Takahashi has written for the TV series Lum the Invader Girl, Maison Ikkoku, Ranma ½, Ranma ½: Netto-hen, Inuyasha, The Holy Pearl, and more. She was nominated for entry into the Eisner Hall of Fame in both 2014 and 2016 and was named as one of 12 female cartoonists who deserve lifetime achievement recognition from Comics Alliance in 2016.
