In addition to the above, Paul Caddick became the owner of Leeds CF&A Co Ltd in October 1996, an ownership that also includes full possession of Headingley Stadium. Only two years later, he became one of the key people in the formation of the world’s first dual code partnership as Leeds Rugby Union Club united forces with Leeds Rhinos under the Leeds Rugby umbrella. In 2005, he decided to sell the adjacent cricket stadium to a Yorkshire county cricket club. Today, the Caddick Group has a 76% stake at Leeds Rugby, which Caddick chairs. Along with other assets and sale proceeds, Paul Caddick and family’s wealth reaches £150m. Still actively playing a hands-on role at Caddick Developments, Paul prefers to spend his free time doing some sport activities, like rugby and shooting.
