MAKO owns construction companies responsible for building shopping malls and business centers in Donetsk, banks, and a hotel in Balaklava. In 2011 the MAKO Group of companies was reported to have $212 million in assets and to have grossed $663,000 from sales. MAKO started to grow heavily in 2010 and is involved in property development, construction, banking, and exporting high-grade coal. In 2014 Yanukovych was put on the wanted list in Ukraine. He currently resides in Russia.
