Mike Clattenburg was born in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada. In high school he wanted to be a musician and even played in a band called The Spawning Grunions. Clattenburg directed the TV series Pit Pony from 1999 to 2000, This Hour Has 22 Minutes in 2004, Trailer Park Boys from 2001 to 2007, and Black Jesus in 2014. He also directed the movies Trailer Park Boys, Trailer Park Boys: The Movie, Trailer Park Boys: Countdown to Liquor Day, Afghan Luke, Moving Day, and Trailer Park Boys: Don’t Legalize It. He won a Gemini Award in 2004 for Best Comedy Program or Series for Trailer Park Boys and has been nominated for six other Gemini Awards.
