She uses her abilities to connect deceased loved ones to the living and to help law enforcement solve crimes. She spent four years at the University of Arizona to help with their studies of mediums and psychic phenomena. Gary Schwartz of U of A tested her abilities and supports her claims and published his findings in the book The Truth About Medium. The TV show Medium was based on DuBois’ book Don’t Kiss Them Good-Bye. She has also authored the books We Are Their Heavens: Why the Dead Never Leave Us, Secrets of the Monarch: How the Dead Can Teach Us About Living a Better Life, and Talk To Me-What the Dead Whisper in Your Ear.
